Basic Esthetics Program

This program exceeds the Oregon requirements to become licensed in skin care services. We require 600 hours for this entry level program. We recognize that there is much more to be covered than can be taught in the basic program and recommend students continue on with the Comprehensive Esthetics Mastery program if they wish to work with advanced equipment or services.

There are three areas required for this curriculum.

Career Development - 100 hours.
Orientation, career opportunities, business setup, debt management, financial operations, introduction to a business plan, resumes and interviews, salon operations, advertising and promotion, time management, image skills and professionalism.

Safety, Sanitation & Hygiene - 150 hours.
OSHA & CDC guidelines for safety and sanitation, bacteriology, disinfection, decontamination and infection control, first aid, licensing laws, administrative rules, hazardous chemicals and hygiene.
